For aspiring performance enthusiasts, the journey from passion to profession often starts with curiosity and very little hands-on experience. That was the case for Nathan Walker from Midland, Texas, who enrolled at Tuner School after studying mechanical engineering with a focus on high-performance vehicles.

In his words, he came into the program admitting, “I don’t know anything,” but quickly discovered an environment built around real-world learning and direct access to industry professionals. From classroom instruction to stepping just a few feet away to work on actual vehicles, Nathan described the experience as uniquely immersive and unlike any other automotive training program he researched.

Throughout the program, Nathan gained experience working with advanced tuning platforms like HP Tuners, Holley, and Haltech while participating in hands-on builds including a Mustang project and a turbocharged truck. More importantly, he developed the confidence to tune vehicles on his own — something he admits he couldn’t imagine doing just six months earlier. He credits the instructors and Hennessey’s industry experts for creating an atmosphere where students can ask in-depth technical questions and receive real-world answers from experienced calibrators and engineers.
